Women's Business Network
Lake of the Woods and Kenora Area
The Women’s Business Network connects women with women, providing opportunities to enhance success in business development and personal growth.
Within the WBN, we all benefit from the chance to share tips, information and best practices, learning from those who have ‘been there’ and sharing with those that have not. We also can develop business relationships not only within our group, but also through each woman’s sphere of contacts. We seek to nurture and support other women in business and in doing so, improve economic conditions for businesses and residents alike.

Learn the three-person rule: You are only three people away from whatever you need. You may find those three people at a Women’s Business Network meeting, and you are guaranteed to have some fun too!
Since its formation in 2001, the WBN (Women’s Business Network) has met on a semi-regular basis, usually over a dinner setting. Meeting locations and formats vary from month to month, and usually include a presentation on a business, personal development or community topic. Some meetings are kept free of an agenda, allowing more time for pure networking through socializing. Whether the meeting is structured or not, each one gives those in attendance a chance to meet other like-minded women in a supportive and fun environment.
Joining the Women’s Business Network is as simple as attending one of our meetings and paying $2 at each meeting you attend. There is no official membership requirement or registration. The WBN’s makeup changes from month to month with a diverse mix of business and professional women and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages. There are familiar faces that have been attending since 2001, but there are always new faces to welcome.
