Community Services
The Community Services Department and Programs mandate is to create and sustain recreation, social, cultural and heritage opportunities within the City of Kenora, by working with the city-wide community, neighborhoods, organizations and individuals.
Our focus is to foster citizen 'participation' and 'exposure' to a broad spectrum of programs, services and opportunities that increase and enhance the quality of life in the City of Kenora.
Direct program services include; Recreation, Parks and open spaces, Cemeteries, Libraries, Lake of the Woods Museum, Child Care Support Services, Ontario Works and management support for City owned Facilities.
The Community Services Department works to provide beneficial programs and services that are accessible to residents. Involving the community in quality of life opportunities is a Department priority.
