We Recycle

Milk and fibre egg cartons (no styrofoam ones)

Paper towel and toilet paper rolls (empty)

Shredded white office paper in clear bags

Cardboard boxes flattened (no bigger than 30"x30"x8"

Plastic food and beverage containers with recycle symbol

Tin or aluminum cans

We cannot Recycle

Styrofoam

Coloured or waxed paper

Plastic bags or plastic wrap

Carbon Paper and brown paper bags

Paint or aerosol cans/ no Tim Horton's cups etc

Yellow corrugated cardboard

Your Blue Box May Not Have been picked up for One of These Reasons

Materials were not sorted properly

Contained glass containers

Contained non recyclable materials

Paper products were too wet

Contained garbage or dirty containers

*Although you cannot put glass bottles and jars in your blue box, they can be dropped off free of charge at the Transfer Facility on Mellick Ave.

please sort Your materials into the following categories

Plastic containers (with #1 to 7 in the recycle symbol) and tin cans together placed inside the blue box.  All containers/cans must be rinsed and flattened

White office/computer paper, newsprint, catalogues, magazines, telephone books, white paper envelopes (with or without window) and flyers should be placed in a bag on top of the blue box

Corrugated cardboard and boxboard must be flattened and placed inside a medium sized cardboard box beside the blue box (or in a grocery bag).
