Road Closures Due to Rainfall

July 22 UPDATE: Transmitter Road is open now!

Due to the July 19 extreme rainfall, several roads have been closed by the City of Kenora.

A section of Gould Road is closed between 293 and 326 as well as Transmitter Road between 488 and 515.

There are 3 large culverts in this area and water is over the low spots in the road with fast moving water.

Further, the Essex Road is closed at Millership Swamp due to water over the road.

For safety purposes, these roads will remain closed until such time as our Roads staff deem them safe to reopen.

We thank the public for their cooperation in avoiding the areas and using alternative routes while these road closures are in place.
