Sealed tenders for City Dock Improvements (the “Project”) Tender Number: 381-001-23 will be received by City of Kenora (the “City”) at 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk. Time and date for tender closing is: 1:00:00 p.m. CDT on April 25, 2024 (the “Tender Closing”)
- The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to: The design, fabrication, and installation of several new shore decks, pipe docks, steel ramps, floating docks, and associated components for a variety of locations within the City of Kenora (the “Work”). The work shall be carried out in accordance with the included specifications, applicable legislation, and industry best practices. Proponents shall refer to the detailed scope of work included in Appendix “A” and drawings in Appendix “B”.
- The Invitation to Tender for this project is available electronically through MERX. Proponents can also visit the City of Kenora Operations Centre at 60 Fourteenth Street North, Kenora, Ontario from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, to sign out a hardcopy Invitation to Tender. Addenda, if any, will be posted to MERX and distributed by email to any proponents who signed out hardcopy documents.
- All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the drawings and specifications for the Work shall be emailed to Chris Lock, Project Coordinator, however the bidder(s) acknowledge and agree that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the City to provide any written response to a written inquiry. Telephone inquiries will not receive a reply.
- Submission of a tender by a Bidder gives the City the right to require the Bidder to execute the contract to perform the Work as set out within the tender documents. Tenders may not be withdrawn after the Tender Closing and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the City for a period of sixty (60) days following the end of the day of the Tender Closing. The Successful Bidder will be notified in writing of the award of the Tender when the City delivers a letter of intent to the Successful Bidder.

Submitting a bid
You must submit your bid by 11 a.m. CT on the bid closing day or as listed in the tender document.

All submissions received before the closing deadline are opened at City Hall in Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
