Hosted and facilitated by the City’s Economic Development Department, the week-long program brought 13 dedicated youths together to learn about entrepreneurship.

  • Public Statement - City Responds to Concerns Regarding August Ukrainian Flag Raising

    The City issues a public statement to clarify criticisms being received surrounding the Ukrainian flag raising at City Hall on Thursday, August 21, 2025. City Council and Administration recognizes the significance of Ukraine Independence Day. Event organizers requested flag raising to occur on a date and time that coincided with a pre-scheduled staff appreciation event. City made accommodations and the flag raising commenced after the staff appreciation event.

  • Public to Celebrate Olympic Silver Medalist Abby Dent at Kenora Rowing Club

    The City of Kenora and Kenora Rowing Club invite the community to join them in commemorating Olympic Silver Medalist, Abby Dent, at a special community event scheduled for Tuesday, August 27 at the Kenora Rowing Club, located at 110 Birchwood Crescent in Garrow Park.

  • Now Accepting Special Events Grant Applications

    The City of Kenora is excited to announce the second intake for the Special Events Grant program is open.  Interested organizers are encouraged to apply for funding support of up to $5,000 for events that will take place between October 1, 2025 and April 30, 2026.
