    The City is pleased to announce the upcoming development of a new, fully accessible playground at Coney Island, with an anticipated opening in 2026. This project will replace the existing playground with modern, inclusive play structures that meet current accessibility standards, ensuring that children and families of all abilities can enjoy.

    Join us in continuing Kenora’s successful Ice Candles tradition, a community-driven celebration that has brightened winters at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery for over 25 years and produces more than 3,000 candles annually.

    The City of Kenora’s Economic Development and Tourism Department is excited to host two professional development events on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, designed to support Kenora’s business community with clear, real-world Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications.

    Please be advised that the City of Kenora does not issue parking tickets by email or text message. Valid City of Kenora parking tickets are only issued as yellow tickets and left on your vehicle. If you receive a text message or email about an outstanding parking matter, do not click any links or provide personal or payment information.

  • Help Keep Our Community Warm, Donate to the Winter Warmth Drive

    The City of Kenora and Kenora Makwa Patrol are hosting a Winter Warmth Drive once again this fall. Donate your clean, gently used, warm clothing at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, 931 Lakeview Drive, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. We are closed on Tuesday, November 11.

  • Emergency Training Exercise at Kenora Airport

    On Monday, September 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the City of Kenora’s Fire and Emergency Services team will be participating in a multi-agency emergency response training exercise at the Kenora Airport.
