The Kenora Public Library presents a Virtual Author Talk by Asha Frost.

The Kenora region is one of five Ontario communities selected for the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) initiative, supporting employers, workforce development, and economic growth. An event is being held on November 5, 2026 for employers looking to learn more about the program.

Seasonal washroom facilities at City parks and ballfields have now closed for the season. Water service at the dog park has also been turned off for the winter. Washroom facilities remain available at the self-cleaning washroom on Chipman Street, open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Sixth Street South, between First Avenue South and Second Avenue South, will be closed to all traffic Wednesday, October 21 at 4:30 p.m. to Thursday, October 22 at 5:00 p.m. The closure is necessary to allow for water main repairs. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes to avoid the work site.

Please be advised that beginning October 20, and continuing through the end of October, Municipal Bridge Inspections will take place on select municipal bridges. Engineers will be using rope access techniques and inspection trucks, and may be seen climbing or working above and below bridge decks to complete their assessments. Some bridges are expected to have lane closures.
