City of Kenora invites all interested persons to attend a Special Meeting of Council on September 18 for the purpose of discussing the revisions that may be required as part of a proposed update to the City’s Official Plan, as documented in the Policy Directions and Recommendations Report, pursuant to the requirements of 26(3) of the Planning Act, RSO 1990, as amended.

The City announces, on today’s date, July 24, 2025, that it is proceeding with the expropriation of the historic Kenricia Hotel as part of its efforts to revitalize Kenora’s downtown core. As part of the 45th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope, this remarkable cross-country journey sees cyclists traveling 7,000 km from Vancouver to St. John’s in support of cancer research.
