Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Kenora

As Canada prepares to co-host the world’s largest sporting event alongside Mexico and the United States, we are excited to announce that Kenora has been selected as a participating community for Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as part of the countrywide festivities surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: Kenora Harboufront, Bernier Drive.
Live round of 16 matches: 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Kenora's harbourfront will come alive with activations, fan experiences, and cultural celebrations at this free, family friendly and open to the public, one-day community celebration.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Live screenings of two FIFA World Cup™ Round of 16 matches, with kickoffs at 11:00 a.m. CT Argentina vs Egypt and 3:00 p.m. CT Switzerland vs Columbia.
Live music featuring:
- 1:40 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. | Grant Leutschaft - The One Man Band
- 5:05 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. | Jackson Klippenstein

Here’s what you can look forward to at Celebrate Canada in Kenora. We’re excited to share some examples of the fun activations we have planned for you.

Traffic and parking advisory

Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™- Kenora takes place at the Kenora Harbourfront and south harbourfront parking lot.

The south harbourfront parking lot will be closed, and traffic and parking impacts are expected during event setup and on event day.

On Monday, July 6, equipment deliveries and unloading will take place at the harbourfront and the south harbourfront parking lot as crews prepare for the event.

Expect increased vehicle activity
Use caution on Bernier Drive
Temporary traffic interruptions may occur

On Tuesday, July 7, the downtown core will be bustling with energy. Plan ahead for heavier traffic around the harbourfront throughout the day. Parking may be limited. Attendees are advised to:

Arrive early
Consider carpooling or alternative transportation
Plan your parking in advance
Free parking is available along the greenbelt and Moncrief Construction Sports Centre
