Public Docking
You have the opportunity to use a City of Kenora boat launch or dock to explore our beautiful waterways. Before you launch or dock, you need to know:
- mooring and launching time limits
- docks requiring a permit
- prohibited use zones
- parking options
- closure notices

Dock permit required
You have the opportunity to dock your boat with us; however, a permit is required before you can tie up your boat for the season.
Permits can be obtained by visiting City Hall at One Main Street South, or call us at 807-467-2000, for the following public docks:
- Coney Island north docks
- Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena docks
- Keewatin Wharf docks
- Water Street docks
- Harbourfront mooring buoys
For docking at Anicinabe Park, permits for the east and west docks can be obtained from Anicinabe Park.

Launch and dock your boat
You can launch or dock your boat at various locations in the City to access the Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River. Be sure to review the regulations at each launch or docking site, paying close attention to loading and unloading limits, as well as parking options and fees for vehicles and trailers. Your local options are:

No docking or launching
There are areas where launching or docking your boat is prohibited. All mooring, loading and unloading, and other boating related purposes are not allowed.

- Hospital dock - for emergency patient drop off only
- Keewatin beach
- Water Treatment Plant
