Please be advised that the Coney Island floating walkway will be installed on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

All City facilities will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, to observe Remembrance Day. The Wave microtransit service will operate on November 11.

Please be advised that the Boatlift Road boat launch on the Lake of the Woods side and a portion of the parking lot will be temporarily closed from November 9 to 13 for rehabilitation work on the boat launch.

Please be advised that the stairway on north side of the building at 100 Main Street South and the walkway at the rear of the building (west side) will be closed to pedestrians from November 2 to 30, 2026.

Please be advised that downtown roads will be temporarily closed on Saturday, November 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., for the Kenora Kinsmen Club Santa Claus Parade.

Please be advised that from November 3 to November 5, a temporary four-way stop will be in place at the intersection of Second Street South and Eighth Avenue South to allow for the replacement of a traffic signal pole.

Please be advised that new lane configurations, line painting, and traffic signal upgrades are now in operation at the two Lakeview Drive intersections at Parsons Street and Minnesota Street, and Lakeview Drive and Nethercutt Drive. Motorists are advised to familiarize themselves with the updated intersection layouts and follow with all posted traffic controls.

Seasonal washroom facilities at City parks and ballfields have now closed for the season. Water service at the dog park has also been turned off for the winter. Washroom facilities remain available at the self-cleaning washroom on Chipman Street, open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Please be advised that beginning October 20, and continuing through the end of October, Municipal Bridge Inspections will take place on select municipal bridges. Engineers will be using rope access techniques and inspection trucks, and may be seen climbing or working above and below bridge decks to complete their assessments. Some bridges are expected to have lane closures.
