In the spirit of National AccessAbility Week (NAAW), the City of Kenora's Accessibility Advisory Committee invites you to participate in an art competition to design a sticker.

Please be advised that due to weather conditions, recycling and garbage curbside collection is delayed on Friday, March 13, for the following areas: Rideout, Valley Drive, Pinecrest, and Jaffray Melick north of the by-pass.

The City’s Sustainability Advisory Committee is thrilled to announce the return of the backyard composter program for Kenora residents. 

Council approves the Active Transportation Master Plan, a strategic guide for Kenora’s investment in active transportation and future infrastructure that aims to create a transportation network that meets the needs of the growing population while considering the challenges of the current infrastructure. It outlines ways how the City can expand active transportation infrastructure to make walking and cycling accessible, comfortable, and convenient for people of all ages.

The Muse is delighted to announce the installation of a new Q-SYS integrated audio, video and control functions system at the Douglas Family Art Centre to provide integrated audio visual access throughout the building.

Organizations interested to host conference and corporate events in 2026 may be eligible to apply for a new stream of funding announced today by the City of Kenora. Organizations can apply for 25 percent of eligible costs to a maximum of $5,000.

Due to weather, curbside collection to some areas part of the Friday route were not completed today, Friday, March 6, 2026. Collection to these missed areas will take place on the route’s next scheduled collection day, Friday, March 13, 2026. 

Tourism Kenora is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Special Events Grant through the Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) program. Event organizers hosting events between June 1, 2026, and May 31, 2027, may apply for up to $5,000 in funding support.
