Local students and community members are invited to a free presentation by award-winning Indigenous author David A. Robertson on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Manidoo Baawaatig Seven Generations Education Institute.
A Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued select addresses at Main Street Rideout and Scramble Avenue. All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute. This advisory shall remain in effect until a notice of rescind is issued.
There is a road closure on sections of Tenth Street North, Main Street Rideout, and Scramble Avenue to repair a water main break. Motorists are advised to follow detours to avoid the work area. City staff are working diligently to complete the repairs.
Please be advised that the Municipal Bridge Maintenance Program will begin on Monday, September 14, 2026, and continuing through November. Maintenance activities will take place on ten municipal bridges throughout the City to help ensure they remain safe and in good condition.
Please be advised that Matheson Street South from the corner of Matheson Street South for approximately 50 meters east on First Avenue South will be closed to all traffic on Monday, September 14, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Please be advised that construction will begin on Tuesday, September 8, at the Sixteenth Avenue North railway crossing to install a sidewalk crossing.
