Kenora Residents to Vote for Councillors and Public School Board Trustees

Kenora residents will head to the polls this October to elect six City Councillors and three Public School Board Trustees in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections.

Elections will be held for the offices of City Councillor and Keewatin Patricia District School Board Trustees. All other offices were acclaimed, including Mayor and Trustee positions for the English Separate School Board and French-language School Boards.

A certified list of candidates is now available. Residents can view the complete list, find candidate contact information, and learn why each candidate is running in the election.

Residents are encouraged to make sure they are on the Voters' List. Eligible voters can update their information or add a new voter by visiting City Hall (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or contacting the City Clerk/Returning Officer at 807-467-2295.

Voting will take place from October 13 to October 26. Voters will once again vote using online and telephone voting, providing a secure and convenient way to cast their ballots from anywhere during the voting period.
