Help Keep Our Community Warm, Donate to the Winter Warmth Drive

The City of Kenora and Kenora Makwa Patrol are partnering once again to collect warm items for those who need them most in a Winter Warmth Drive.

Donate your clean, gently used, warm items at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, 931 Lakeview Drive, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. We are closed on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Items needed:

• Blankets
• Sleeping bags
• Winter jackets
• Mitts
• Socks
• Winter boots

Items not needed: everyday clothing, scarves, kids clothing, or summer wear.

Bundle up your clean donations in a plastic bag to drop off. Please hand donations to City Staff directly. Do not leave donations at the door or outside of the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre.

Donations accepted until October 31, 2026.

Your donations will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need this winter. The City is a partner on the Community Council for the Makwa Patrol, and this Drive is important for the patrollers to have warm items available for the people they are servicing.

Thank you for your generosity and support in helping people in our community stay warm this winter.
