Coney Island Residents Affected by Power Outage Urged to Conserve Water

On June 25, 2026, SYNERGY NORTH announced a power outage affecting approximately 100 Coney Island residents. Power restoration is expected to be complete by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025. 

The City urges Coney Island residents affected by this outage to conserve water until power is restored to prevent overloading grinder pumps, which could lead to sewer spills. 

Homeowners are advised to contact the Ministry of Environment’s Spills Action Centre at 1-800-268-6060 for any sewer spill cleanup responsibilities resulting from overflows.
