Consulting services for paving, water, wastewater and stormwater upgrades

The City of Kenora (the “City”) is seeking proposals in response to this RFP in relation to:  the completion of the 2024 Consulting Services for Paving, Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Upgrades. Proposals will be received by City of Kenora, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON  P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk, RE: RFP #411-431-001-25 2024 Consulting Services for Paving, Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Upgrades.

Time and date for the closing of the RFP is

11:00:00 a.m. CST on Thursday, September 19, 2024 (the “RFP Closing Date”)

1. Proposals must be open for consideration for a period of ninety (90) days after the RFP Closing Date in order to allow for the City to evaluate the various proposals and to undertake the negotiations with the selected proponents.
2. The procurement documents can be obtained from Merx.com and searching ‘2024 Consulting Services for Paving, Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Upgrades’.
3. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion.
4. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the Request for Proposals shall be emailed to Tami Adeleke, Project Coordinator of Engineering at tadeleke@kenora.ca, however, each proponent acknowledges and agrees that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry.  Telephone inquiries will not be replied to.
5. If the City, in its sole and unfettered discretion, determines that a written response to an inquiry is warranted, a written response will be prepared and distributed to all proponents who have requested a copy of the Request for Proposals and completed the acknowledgment form.  Such written response(s) will be issued in the form of an addendum to the Request for Proposals and will be deemed to be part of the Request for Proposals. 

CCTV and cleaning services

Sealed tenders for 2024 City of Kenora CCTV and Cleaning Services (the “Project”), Tender Number 411/21-7110 will be received by City of Kenora (the “City”) at 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk.

Time and date for Tender Closing is

11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on September 12, 2024 (the “Tender Closing”)

1. The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to 2024 CCTV and Cleaning Services (the “Work”) as set out on the list of drawings and specifications described as follows: Approximately 6508 m of Sanitary Sewer Main and approximately 2040m of Storm Sewer Main CCTV inspection and cleaning services, including accompanying inspection reports.
2. The Successful Bidder shall achieve substantial performance of the Work for the Project by November 30, 2024.
3. The specifications for the Project can be obtained from Stefan Stiller, Project Engineer, 807-467-2187, or from MERX.com within the 2024 City of Kenora CCTV and Cleaning Services Solicitation.
4. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the drawings and specifications for the Work shall be emailed to Stefan Stiller, Project Engineer, however the bidder(s) acknowledge and agree that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the City to provide any written response to a written inquiry. Telephone inquiries and email inquiries will not be replied to.
5. Submission of a tender by a Bidder gives the City the right to require the Bidder to execute the contract to perform the Work as set out within the tender documents. Tenders may not be withdrawn after the Tender Closing and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the City for a period of sixty (60) days following the end of the day of the Tender Closing. The Successful Bidder will be notified in writing of the award of the Tender when the City delivers a letter of intent to the Successful Bidder.

Sanitary relining program

Sealed tenders for 2024 City of Kenora Sanitary Relining Program (the “Project”), Tender Number 411-003-24 will be received by City of Kenora (the “City”) at 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk.

Time and date for Tender Closing is

11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on September 12, 2024 (the “Tender Closing”)

1. The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to approximately 445m of sanitary sewer main relining using Cured-in-Place Pipe at four locations within the City of Kenora, and approximately 45m of sanitary service relining at four locations. (the “Work”) as set out on the list of drawings and specifications described as follows: Refer to Section 18.1 and Sections 19.1 through 19.19 of the Tender documents and Addendum 01.
2. The City’s consultant for the Project is N/A.
3. The Successful Bidder shall achieve substantial performance of the Work for the Project by Refer to Section 2.3 – Schedule of Completions from the Tender Documents.
4. The drawings and specifications for the Project can be obtained from the publication portal of MERX under the name ‘2024 City of Kenora Sanitary Relining Program. CCTV footage can be obtained by emailing sstiller@kenora.ca. Deposits paid to obtain the drawings and specifications will be refunded to unsuccessful bidder(s) at the discretion of the City.
5. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the drawings and specifications for the Work shall be sent to Stefan Stiller, P.Eng., Project Engineer, 60 Fourteenth Street North, Kenora, Ontario P9N 4M9. However, the bidder(s) acknowledge and agree that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the City to provide any written response to a written inquiry. Telephone inquiries and email inquiries will not be replied to.
