A membership at the Kenora Recreation Centre offers you a range of fitness and leisure opportunities to have a healthy lifestyle. We have daily drop-in, multiple visit, monthly, and annual membership packages.

Purchase or renew a membership

You can purchase or renew your membership online, or you can do this in-person at the Kenora Recreation Centre, 18 Mike Richards Way, Kenora.

Choose the membership type that works for you.

Visits

We offer 10 or 25 visit packages. These do not expire and you can share them. They include use of the fitness centre, pool, hot tub, sauna, walking track, public skating, open hockey and family hockey.

One month

The one month membership includes use of the fitness centre, pool, hot tub, sauna, walking track, public skating, open hockey and family hockey. These memberships have an expiry date.

Three, six month, or annual

If you are using the facility regularly these memberships are a great choice for you. The package include use of fitness centre, pool, hot tub, sauna, walking track, public skating, open hockey, family hockey, group fitness, and WaterFit classes.

Post-Secondary Student includes a person actively enrolled in a full-time (3 or more courses) degree, diploma or apprenticeship program in a recognized Post-Secondary institution located within Canada. Verification of Enrolment (VOE) will be required and/or a valid/current student card.

Family includes two adult parents or guardians and unmarried children under 18 years and/or seniors living in the same household (up to a maximum of 5 members).

Admission requirements

Arena

Children 3 and under admitted free to public skate when accompanied by paying adult.  Helmets are recommended for all ice users.

Lane and leisure pool

Children who are 9 and 10 years old must complete a facility swim test to enter unaccompanied. Children who do not meet this requirement must be under the direct supervision within arms' reach of a responsible person 16 years of age or older. No more than two children under the direct supervision of one adult. Children who are 8 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Hot tub

The hot tub is open to pool users only at this time.

Sauna

The sauna is open to pool users only at this time. Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admittance is restricted to persons 14 years of age and older. 

Tot pool

Restricted to children age 5 years and under accompanied in the water and directly supervised by an adult. Accompanying adult is responsible for supervision of children in their care, must stay in the water and within arm's reach at all times.

Water slide

To ride the water slide you must be at least 107 cm or 42 in tall and able to comfortably swim 3 metres unassisted. Flotation devices cannot be worn on the slide and jewellery must be removed. Parents cannot ‘catch' children at the bottom of the slide.
