Back to SearchOur recreation department is hosting a new community program called Sports Stars. The after-school program is designed to offer children ages 6 to 11 the chance to explore a variety of sports in a supportive environment.
This free after-school program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 to 5 p.m., for five weeks starting Tuesday, September 24.
Each week will feature a different sport:
- Week 1: skating and ball hockey at the Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena
- Week 2: swimming sports
- Week 3: baseball
- Week 4: basketball
- Week 5: kids fitness, running club
Thanks to funding from the Jumpstart program, we are delighted to offer this opportunity at no cost to families.
