Back to SearchPlease be advised the Thistle Arena slab construction project at the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre project begins today, Monday, May 5.
Crews are accessing the arena from the back of the building via the parking lot nearest to the boat launch. The boat launch will remain open and accessible throughout the summer. Construction work will take place during weekdays, excluding statutory holidays.
When visiting the area, please drive carefully in the construction zone. No parking will be allowed in the temporary vehicular lanes and the contractor area for the duration of the construction project. View map of construction area.
The fitness center, New Horizons Senior Centre, physiotherapy services, and multi-purpose rooms will remain open.
The walking track, dressing rooms, and storage rooms in the arena will be closed to the public during this time.
The pool will be closed for its regular annual general maintenance during part of the summer.
