Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with a working smoke alarm – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.

    Visit the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre Skatepark Saturdays in September (September 14, 21 and 28, 2024) at for an Urban Art Workshop and Mural Planning Session featuring Nereo Zorro and talented local urban artists.

  • City Unveils New Microtransit System

    The City of Kenora is excited to announce the launch of an improved transit service called "The Wave" on October 15, 2024, in partnership with service provider Via. This updated service aims to help residents and visitors seamlessly reach their desired destinations within the community. The new transit system will migrate from a conventional fixed route system to a modernized microtransit model, utilizing smaller vehicles for on-demand service.

  • 2025 Community Improvement Plan Program Launched

    The City of Kenora opens application intake for the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) programs in the Harbourtown Centre, Keewatin and the Former Mill Site.

  • Dexter Hupe Appointed as Acting Fire Chief

    The City of Kenora has appointed Dexter Hupe as Kenora Fire and Emergency Services Acting Fire Chief effective September 23, after receiving the resignation of Chief David Pratt. 

  • Enhancing Lake Access to Black Sturgeon Lake Property Owners Association

    The City of Kenora is pleased to announce a significant contribution from the Municipal Accommodation Tax to the Black Sturgeon Lake Property Owners Association. In a recent gathering, Mayor Poirier and Councillor Barb Manson presented a financial contribution of $40,000 aimed at enhancing local tourism and access to some of our region’s beautiful waterways.
