Stray Pets

The City of Kenora provides pound services for stray pets found at large.

If you found a pet

Please contact By-law Enforcement at 807-467-2166 with the following information:

• your name, address, phone number
• where you found the animal
• dog licence tag number
• collar
• tattoos (if any)
• breed of animal
• colour or any special identifying features
• gender (if known)

You may also submit an online Request for Service to report a found pet.

We may be able to connect the dog with its owner if there is valid dog licence information.

By-law enforcement officers will bring unclaimed pets to the City pound until they can be returned to their owner, or adopted by It's A Dog Life or The Kenora Cat Shelter. Pound fees apply to impounded animals.
