Coney Island Lake Collection

If you live on Coney Island, the City of Kenora will collect your garbage and recycle from your dock seasonally. You must have your items at the dock by 8:00 a.m. on collection day.

Holiday exceptions

When a holiday falls on a Monday, this service moves to Tuesday.

First and last collection day

First collection: Tuesday after Victoria Day holiday.

2026 Update: The start date for recycling and garbage dock collection has been rescheduled to Monday, May 25, 2026.

Last collection: Tuesday after Labour Day holiday

Collection rules

• Place items at the end of your dock by 8:00 a.m.
• All bags of garbage must have a full City of Kenora Bag Tag
• Place recycling items in a plastic bag.
• You may place glass in with your recycling items.

Household hazardous waste

Household hazardous waste (HHW) items are not accepted at the dock. The Transfer Station accepts HHW items on a seasonal basis at the once-a-week depot.
