Donate here

Libraries across the world have evolved to become more than a book repository, and the Kenora and Keewatin Libraries are no different. Though literacy is still our primary focus, we are also a vital community hub. A place for people to gather, connect, learn, and play!

A donation to our libraries ensures that we can continue to provide current and relevant content. It also helps us to provide programming for all ages, crafts, maker spaces, and more!

It takes a library to raise a community. Please consider donating today!

Kenora & Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation: Endowment Fund

Donations can be made to the Kenora Public Library Agency Fund set up with the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation.  This fund was made possible through a $25,000 legacy provided by the late Roy Carl Lindstrom with funds matched by an anonymous donor. Please choose the Kenora Public Library Agency Fund when making a donation and help us build our endowment fund to support future library initiatives!

Canada Helps: Kenora Public Library

A safe and simple way to donate to the Kenora Public Libraries. You can choose to donate once, monthly, or even donate securities.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library: Kenora

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. If you choose to donate, our Kenora Imagination Library is supported through the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation - Please choose the Burns Family Fund for Kenora Public Library when making a donation.

Cash donations made directly to the library are always welcome.  A tax receipt is automatically issued for all donations of $10 or more.

Donations can also be made to recognize a special person with a memorial or honourary gift to the Library.  You can make a donation in the name of a friend or loved one on a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, or other accomplishment.  The individual being honoured receives a letter of recognition marking the gift and the occasion, with an acknowledgement of your donation.  A tax receipt is issued to the donor.

By providing a bequest to the Kenora Public Library in your will, you help ensure that the tradition of library service is safeguarded for the future and passed on to the next generation.

In memoriam donations can be made to the library to honour a friend or loved ones passing.  Be sure to make a note of who you would like to have an acknowledgement of the gift to.  A tax receipt is issued to the donor.

If you would like the library to have a specific book, you can make a special request and pay the library for it.  When it comes in you'll be the first one on the list to borrow and read it, and a plaque acknowledging your donation will be applied inside the cover of the book.

Adopting a magazine allows you to donate the cost of a new periodical title to help us to increase and maintain the size of the Library's magazine collection.
