Book Clubs

Joining a book club is a great opportunity to discover new books, meet new people, connect with fellow reading enthusiasts, and open your mind to new perspectives. The library is here to support your group and provide the reading materials you need to engage in some great literary discussions. All members of the book club must have a current library membership in good standing.

The library offers 3 options for providing materials to your book club.

Our Collection

We have 2 branches that house multiple formats including hardcover, paperback, large print, and audio. You may be able to find 1 or more copies between our two branches.

Interlibrary Loan

If we don’t have the title you are looking for or you need to add additional copies, we can submit requests for Interlibrary Loans. This allows us to request books on your behalf from other libraries in Ontario. Please note that Interlibrary Loans can take several weeks to arrive depending on availability and where they are travelling from. Most books are available to borrow however some libraries may not be willing to lend new releases (published within the last year), books which are in high demand, (being made into a movie/television series, etc) or books which are very old or rare.

Overdrive or EBSCOhost

If you prefer to read e-books or listen to e-audiobooks, we have a couple of options for you.

Overdrive is available to use in your browser, or on the Libby app. The Libby app allows library users to download e-books and e-audiobooks free of charge. If the waiting lists are too long, let us know. We can purchase additional e-copies to be used only by Kenora Library patrons.

EBSCOhost is also available to use in your browser, or on the EBSCOhost mobile app

How do I request books for my book club?

Book Club titles can be requested by completing our Book Club Request Form. You can also request titles by phone or in person at either the Kenora or Keewatin Library.  As soon as your items start to arrive, we will contact you to let you know!
