Children's Services

Children's services offered in the Eryn Roussin Children's Library

There is lots to do every day, drop in and use the space anytime during operating hours.

The Children's Librarian is always happy to help choose books or make recommendations for your child.

Available every day are a puppet theatre for kids to put on their own show with, a selection of puzzles and board games, a variety of building toys such as LEGO, zig-zag blocks, wooden stone river blocks, and snap block animals. As well as art supplies for your child to create with.

The library offers personalized programming for classes and organized group visits. Please contact the library ahead of time to arrange visit details.

Coding materials, a touch screen discovery centre, and a Nintendo Switch are all available for use while visiting the library.

More than just books, the library offers a variety of items available for loan. Including fishing rods and tackle from Gussy's Fishing Corner, bird watching kits with kid-sized binoculars, snowshoes and ski poles during the winter months, and lifejackets in the summer. Check out our Library of Things for more loanable items!

Designed to promote literacy skills in babies, each bag is filled with 5 board books (to borrow), a song booklet, a reading tip sheet, and a book that is yours to keep!
