Things to know

Check at local hardware stores to purchase compostable bags.

Leaf and yard waste is not included in curbside collection.

Our composting process

We transport the leaf and yard waste to Kenora Area Landfill. Windrows are made with the leaf and yard waste. The windrows are turned and watered until they turn into compost. The compost becomes landscaping material at the landfill site.
