If you are not on the municipal water system or if you do not have access to potable water, there are two user-pay water dispensing stations where you can fill up cisterns and portable containers in the City of Kenora.

The stations dispense water from the City of Kenora water system; it is clean potable water.

Upgrades at the water stations

Both Crawford and Evergreen water stations are upgraded to a new key-fob system.

The new key-fobs are available for purchase at City Hall. Water cards are no longer accepted and can be exchanged at City Hall for the new key-fob. If there is an account balance, it will be transferred to your new account at no additional cost. New customers purchase the new key-fob for $25. There is no change to the cost of the water.

Water station key-fob questions

View the frequently asked questions about the new system:

Where can I get a new key-fob?

Key-fobs are now available for purchase at City Hall. Please come to City Hall to have your new key-fob issued and any water balance transferred.

Are key-fobs available anywhere other than City Hall?

No, City Hall is the only retailer of water key-fobs.

I have a balance on my current water card. Can it be transferred?

Yes, we can transfer any balances from your card to your new key-fob. This can be done at City Hall, with no additional charge. Balances are transferable up to June 30, 2025.

How do I load my key-fob?

You can continue to have your key-fob loaded at City Hall.

You can also reload your key-fob online with Conx Wireless. Please note for the online service, there is a charge of 30¢, plus 2.9% for online credit card transactions, and 10¢, plus 1% for online Debit transactions. Load your key-fob by visiting the Fob-User Login at Conx Wireless.

I purchased a key-fob but no longer require it. What can I do with my key-fob and water balance?

Key-fobs are non-refundable. Once you have purchased a key-fob, you own it. If you have a water balance of more than $25, your water balance is refundable by cheque. If the amount is less than $25, we do not issue a refund as per our Accounts Receivable and Collections Policy and Procedures, section 6.4.2.

I have a water card but no longer require it. Is the card refundable?

Yes, cards and balances are refundable up to June 30, 2025.
