The City of Kenora’s Economic Development and Tourism Department is turning up the festive energy with a dynamic holiday campaign designed to celebrate, support, and spotlight our vibrant local businesses and community.
Watch for exciting contests and promotions on Tourism Kenora’s social media, visitkenora.ca/holidays-in-kenora/, and fun collaborations with Mosswood Adventures and Kim Does 807.
Here is your family-friendly guide of what’s happening this holiday season:
Kenora Holiday Trail
Kenora’s award-winning Holiday Trail is back to make your holiday gifting easier and more delightful than ever. This year spotlights more retailers than ever before, with 20 local shops participating. Help to make the 2025 Holiday Trail the best yet by participating and buying local!
From November 21 to December 24, purchase a $30 Holiday Trail booklet, select six stops, and redeem vouchers for exclusive gifts as you explore Kenora’s vibrant storefronts. Each redeemed voucher supports retailers directly, with a $5 reimbursement going back to participating businesses.

Moonlight Madness
On November 28, Kenora’s downtown businesses extend their hours to 8:00 p.m. Discover unique storefronts, support local businesses, and enjoy a festive, community-minded evening. Shop local this season and celebrate Kenora’s vibrant downtown.

Hike the Holiday Market Trail
Each week Tourism Kenora will launch the weekend Holiday Market Trail, which includes all the craft and gift markets in Kenora each weekend. Follow the Market Trail on the Tourism Kenora social media pages.

Capture the holiday spirit and show us your seasonal glow beside dazzling, 3D light installations at these merry selfie spots:

- Lake of the Woods Plaza
- Corner of Park and Second Street

- November 21: Main Street Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m.
- November 23: Keewatin Tree Lighting at 6:00 p.m.
- November 28: Moonlight Madness in Harbourtown Centre, stores are open until 8:00 p.m.
- November 29: Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade "Christmas Vacation" at 5:30 p.m.
- December 6: Matiowski Winter Market 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Seven Generations Education Institute
- December 24: Annual Festival of Lights
