Erie Street New One-Way Traffic
Please be advised that Erie Street, at St. Louis School in Keewatin, will be trialed as one-way street, aimed at improving pickup and drop-off traffic conditions. Signs will be installed on Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30.
Traffic passing St. Louis School will flow as follows:
- From River Street, traffic will turn East onto Erie Street and continue North onto Eighth Street, then exiting onto Superior Street.
Traffic will not be permitted to turn onto Eighth Street from Superior Street.
This improvement is expected to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, address parking, and enhance pedestrian safety for students, staff, and community members.
New signs will be posted to inform motorists about the new one-way traffic zone. With the success of the trial, the signage will remain permanently.
We appreciate the public’s cooperation and attention to the new traffic regulation.
