Keewatin Snow Removal

Please be advised that snow removal will take place in the Keewatin area, starting at May Avenue and working westerly, on Monday, February 9, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists and pedestrians should expect delays as sections may be closed. Crews will focus snow removal within blocks to minimize disruptions. Traffic control will be in place, please follow all signage.

Signs will be posted in the snow removal area to indicate ‘No Parking’ zones.  Vehicles parked in a signed snow removal zone may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

As the City works to clear snow and ice from roads and sidewalks, snow may be left behind, creating windrows. While the operators do their best to prevent this, their priority is to clear the travelled portion of the road or sidewalk.

The work plan may be adjusted if there are weather changes or if emergencies and other snow event priorities develop.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as this winter maintenance is carried out.
