Kenora Unveils Real-Time Progress Dashboard for Community Safety and Well-Being Plan

The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Implementation Committee, is excited to announce the launch of a new Progress Dashboard available at Kenora.ca/communitysafety. This online tool makes it easy for the community to see how Kenora’s Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan is advancing by tracking action progress across the seven Priority Areas.

“This dashboard gives our community a clear, transparent view of our progress, reflecting our shared commitment to working together and acting on evidence. Its launch marks our promise to be open, accountable, and action-driven, offering residents and partners a real-time look at how we’re advancing community safety and well-being,” shares Darcia Curtis, Chair of the CSWB Plan Implementation Committee.

The Dashboard translates the complexity of the 10-year CSWB Plan, with its seven Priority Areas and 48 Action items, into a simplified format that clearly shows each Action’s status, lead, and updates.

“The dashboard is built to be a practical tool,” says Eric Shih, CSWB Coordinator. “It highlights the ongoing, upcoming tasks, and functions as part of an Action 1.5, to make the CSWB Plan’s work an ongoing priority in the City’s communication strategy.”

The Progress Dashboard marks a pivotal step in Kenora’s ten-year Community Safety and Well-Being Plan. By translating collaboration into real-time action, it strengthens transparency, accountability, and civic pride.
