Ninth Street North Project Updates

The City is pleased to share updates about the two improvement projects and upcoming road openings on Ninth Street North.

On the evening of Tuesday, September 2, Ninth Street North will open to all traffic and pedestrians. Project paving is currently underway and we are so excited to see this project completed on schedule.

Additionally, the sewer and water piping replacement project at the West end of Ninth Street North is making great progress. We’re on track to be completed mid-October.

For the first day of school on Wednesday, September 3, a detour route will be open that will allow traffic to get around construction onto Ninth Street North from Veterans Drive and vice versa, as shown on the detour map.

Drivers should still try to avoid the West end of Ninth Street North whenever possible to minimize traffic congestion over the next 6 to 7 weeks.
