Council will hold a Statutory Public Meeting under s. 34 and 39 of the Planning Act to consider a Temporary Use By-law as it pertains to Zoning By-law 101-2015. The proposed amendment would rezone the subject lands from RR – Rural Residential Zone to RR-T Rural Residential Temporary Use Zone.
When: Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Location: Council Chambers, City Hall, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON
Description of the Proposed Temporary Use By-law
The City of Kenora has received an application for a Temporary Use By-law affecting 88 Jakson Road. The purpose is to permit:
- Temporary storage of a 43 ft (13.1 m) recreational vehicle on the property from August 2025 to October 31, 2026, and
- Seasonal accommodation in the recreational vehicle from May 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026 while constructing a permanent residence.
