Portage Bay Bridge Repair Project Road Closure

Please be advised that a section of Wharf Street and the Keewatin Wharf will be closed to all traffic beginning Saturday, October 25 at 7:00 a.m. to begin staging for the upcoming repairs to the Portage Bay Bridge.

Repairs to the bridge will include removing and replacing corroded steel so that the bridge can safely reopen.

The section of Wharf Street, Keewatin Wharf, and the boat launch will remain closed for the duration of project. The east end of the Keewatin Wharf remains accessible via Bay Street for deliveries.  

Motorists are advised to follow detour signs and use alternative routes around the work area.
