Recycling and Garbage Collection Delay for March 13, 2026

All collection areas within the Friday route have been successfully completed.

Notice

Please be advised that due to weather conditions, recycling and garbage curbside collection is delayed on Friday, March 13, for the following areas: Rideout, Valley Drive, Pinecrest, and Jaffray Melick north of the by-pass.

We anticipate completing the route by the end of the day; however, there may be some areas within the route that will not be completed. A further notice will be issued to inform you of those specific areas.

We will have two trucks operating in the Minto area, and some locations may be serviced earlier than usual.

To ensure pick-up, please place your items at the curb by 8:00 a.m.

Residents are reminded that garbage bags must have a City of Kenora bag tag attached. For recycle, use your new 360-litre recycling cart and place the cart so that the wheels face towards your home and the lid opens toward the street. Ensure the cart is at least 3 feet (1 metre) in front of or beside fences, vehicles, or other obstacles. Place your cart on a flat surface that is clear of snow and ice.
