First Street South Closure for Storm System Project

Please be advised that a storm system upgrade project will begin on Tuesday, April 28, on First Street South between Seventh Avenue South and Eighth Avenue South.

During this project, this section of First Street South will be closed. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to follow the detour route around the project area. 

Local residents will have access to their properties, and access to the Kenora Curling Club will be maintained. 

Visitors to the ballfield are encouraged to use Seventh Avenue South, while those visiting the playground should use Park Street to access the area.

The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, unless specific site conditions require alternative hours. 

The upgrade project is expected to be completed by mid-May.
