Mellick Avenue Sewer and Water Upgrade Project

Please be advised that a sewer and water upgrade project on Mellick Avenue will begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

To accommodate this work, Mellick Avenue between Ninth Street North and Tenth Street North will be closed. Two detour routes will be in place:

• Larger vehicles and access to the Transfer Station: Veterans Drive and Rabbit Lake Road
• Local traffic: Main Street Rideout and Eleventh Street North

Motorists and pedestrians are advised exercise caution in the construction zone, follow detour routes, and obey all posted signage.

The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, unless specific site conditions require different hours. 

The upgrade project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
