Notice of Additional Nominations For the October 26, 2026 Municipal Election Municipal Elections Act, s.33(5)

Take Notice that the number of candidates for the office of Trustee, Keewatin-Patricia District School Board was not sufficient to fill the number of vacancies to which candidates may be elected.

And Further Take Notice that the Clerk may receive and certify additional nominations for the remaining vacancies in the Clerk’s Office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on August 26, 2026, subject to the provisions of Subsection 33(5) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

As the Returning Officer of the Municipality, I hereby declare public notice of Additional Nominations for the office of:

• Trustee, Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (2 seats to be elected)

Additional Nominations will be accepted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Withdrawal of additional nominations would be required before 2:00 p.m. on August 26, 2026 per MEA, s.36(b).

Any additional nominations filed under MEA, s.33(5) shall be examined by the clerk by: 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

And Further Take Notice that the manner in which nominations shall be filed is set forth in Section 33 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.  Nomination forms and full particulars of procedures to be followed may be obtained from the undersigned.
