Notice of Application and Public Meeting D14-26-09

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kenora will hold a Public Meeting under Section 34 and Section 36 to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment and Holding Provision Removal under City of Kenora Zoning By-law 101-2015, as described and shown on the map below.

Description of proposal

The subject property is currently zoned R3 [H] Residential Third Density Holding Zone. The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to remove the Holding ("H") provision from the property, as the required Record of Site Condition has been filed, and to rezone the property from R3 Residential Third Density to R2 Residential Second Density. The proposed amendment will permit development in accordance with the standards of the R2 Zone.

Public meeting

When: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
Location: Council Chambers, City Hall, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON

Council will consider the application decision at its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 15, at
5:00 p.m. That meeting will also be livestreamed at the link above.

Right of appeal

If a person or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal but does not make oral or written submissions before the by-law is passed, that person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision, and may not be added as a party to a hearing unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
