Notice of Intent to Stop Up Close Surplus and Sell Municipal Road Allowance L07-26-01

Notice is hereby given that Council of the Corporation of the City of Kenora proposes, at its meeting to be held July 21 at 5:00 p.m., to consider a By-law to Stop Up, Close, Surplus and Sell a portion of an undeveloped road allowance identified as a portion of Spence Street, Plan M35 and Sell certain lands within the municipality.

Location: Portion of Spence Street, Kenora, ON and legally described as Part 1 Plan 23R15305, and identified in the key map below.

A report will be placed on the Agenda of the Committee of the Whole on July 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., Council of the Corporation will then have the opportunity for consideration during their regular meeting on July 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Purpose

The purpose of this request is to stop up, close, declare surplus and sell a portion of Spence Street and to merge that land with the property to the south. This lot addition will facilitate the development of a quick service restaurant.
