Notice of Zoning By-law Amendment Application and Public Meeting D14-26-07

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kenora will hold a Public Meeting under Section 34 of the Planning Act to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under City of Kenora Zoning By-law 101-2015, as described and shown on the map below.

Description of proposal

The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject lands from Highway Commercial (HC) to Rural (RU) to allow for the construction of a single-detached dwelling.

Public meeting

When: Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
Location: Council Chambers, City Hall, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON

Council will consider the application decision at its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. That meeting will also be livestreamed on our Agenda and Minutes page.

Right of appeal

If a person or public body would otherwise have the ability to appeal the decision of Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal but does not make oral or written submissions before the by-law is passed, that person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision, and may not be added as a party to a hearing unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
