Water Flushing Program Scheduled for Norman and Keewatin

Please be advised that the City’s unidirectional watermain flushing program will run from Tuesday, September 8, to Monday, October 5, 2026.

Flushing will take place in the Norman and Keewatin neighbourhoods.

During the flushing process, there should be no interruptions to water service. Temporary effects may include lower water pressure and discoloured water.

Water may appear cloudy or have a yellow, red, or brown tint. This temporary discolouration is normal during flushing. The water is safe to drink and does not pose a health risk.

Check that the water is clear before doing laundry, as discoloured water may stain clothing and fabrics. Consider postponing household cleaning, laundry, and food preparation until the water runs clear and flushing is complete.

After the flushing program is completed, run a cold-water tap for a few minutes until the water is clear and the pressure returns to normal.

If the water does not clear or the pressure does not return to normal, call City Hall Customer Service at 807-467-2000, or call 807-467-2080 after hours. You may also submit an online Request for Service at any time.

We thank our water services customers for their patience during this important maintenance program.
