Wharf Street at Tenth Street Closure for Portage Bay Bridge Project

Please be advised that the existing closure related to the Portage Bay Bridge project is being adjusted.

Effective Thursday, April 23, a section of Wharf Street at Tenth Street will be closed to all traffic to accommodate project operations. This area will serve as a laydown area for equipment and materials required for the bridge repairs.

The Keewatin Wharf and boat launch, which have been closed since fall 2025, will reopen to the public with this adjustment.

The Wharf Street closure will remain in place for the duration of the project.

For safety reasons, the Portage Bay Bridge remains closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Boat traffic is permitted beneath the bridge while work is underway.

Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to follow posted detours and use alternate routes around the work area.
