Tenth Street Storm Works and Road Improvement

Please be advised that on Monday, June 17, Moncrief Construction Limited (MCL) will begin storm work and road improvements on Tenth Street in Keewatin from Ottawa Street to Highway 17. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2024.

Rotary Splash Park Opening

Please be advised that the Kenora Rotary Splash Park in Norman Park will open on Thursday, June 13, for the summer. The regular hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week, until mid-September.
The Rotary Splash Park offers families a place to cool off in the warm weather, and it’s free for everyone to enjoy. We ask that visitors review the rules and regulations posted at the park to ensure everyone has a welcoming and safe experience.

Please be advised that Coker Road from Kelly Road to the east side of Rice Bay will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, June 6, due to the increasing water Level on Black Sturgeon Lake, specifically Rice Bay. The closure affects all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The closure ensures the integrity of the road is maintained by preventing significant damage that could occur if travel on the Coker Road were to continue during this high water period.

Committee of the Whole June Meeting Date Change

Please be advised that City of Kenora Council will hold its June Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. rather than on the second Tuesday of the month.
The meeting date change is to accommodate professional staff training.
The regular Council meeting will remain on the third Tuesday of the month, June 18, at 5:00 p.m. as scheduled.
