All City buildings and facilities are closed on Monday, October 14, for Thanksgiving.
There is no City Transit service on the holiday.

Coney Island Seasonal Water Service Shut-off

Please be advised that beginning on Tuesday, October 15, we will start the process of turning off seasonal water service on Coney Island.
While we strive to maintain water service over the Thanksgiving weekend for Coney Island customers, this work is weather-dependent. The shut-off process could start earlier if there are freezing temperatures.
We appreciate your understanding during this seasonal maintenance and anticipate resuming the water service as usual next spring.
Back Lane Closure

Please be advised that the back lane between Fifth Avenue South and Seventh Avenue South will be closed for road reconstruction from Monday, October 7, to Friday, October 25.
Local traffic will be permitted, and residents in the project area should be able to access their properties during the project.

War Veteran Gravestones Cleaning and Relevelling

Please be advised that there will be cleaning and relevelling of war veteran gravestones on October 2 to October 3, 2024 at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
This is essential upkeep in honouring the memory of our veterans. Proper upkeep ensures that the memorials remain a source of comfort and reflection for those who visit.
The cemetery remains open to the public. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution while travelling around the workers.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, all City facilities, with the exception of Emergency Services, will be closed on Monday, September 30.
City Staff are continuing their journey in learning the truth of our history, during Truth and Reconciliation Week through daily staff education participation from September 23 to September 27.
