Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Minto Drive and Minto Crescent

Please be advised that the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Minto Drive and Minto Crescent has been issued as of the evening of September 17, 2024.  

All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute if it is used for human consumption. Once boiled the water can be stored in the refrigerator in a clean food-safe container and should be used for other activities where it may be ingested. 

The advisory shall remain in effect until a notice of rescind is issued.

Railway Street Road Works

Please be advised that road works will be completed on Railway Street from 1405 Railway Street to 1439 Railway Street starting Monday, September 16, for the next four weeks.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during this time.

Motorists are reminded to obey the signs and traffic controls, and use caution when heavy equipment is working.

Fire Hydrant Work

Please be advised that Park Street between Sixth Avenue South and Seventh Avenue South will be closed on Monday, September 16, and Tuesday, September 17, to complete a hydrant repair. 

Following the completion of the hydrant repair on Park Street, the crew will proceed to work on a hydrant located on Second Street South. 

Second Street South between Chipman Street and Fourth Avenue South will be closed on Tuesday, September 17 until Friday, September 20, to complete a fire hydrant replacement. 

Tenth Street Closure

Please be advised that Tenth Street from Erie Street to Highway 17 will be closed from Monday, September 16, to Friday, September 20, to continue the road improvement project. 

Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to follow detours through the construction area. Local traffic will be permitted.

Norman Park Playground Completions

Please be advised that upgrades are continuing at Norman Park over the next two weeks, including:

• adding a border around the new gravity rail area,
• adding a pathway to the gravity rail play area, and
• surface grading.

During this time, fencing will be erected in the parking lot, portions of the paved pathway from the Splash Park to the Beach and around the new gravity rail area. The fencing layout will adjust as the work progresses.

The interruption to the paved pathway will be kept to a minimum.
