Intersection of Eighth Street South and Eighth Avenue South Closure

Please be advised that the intersection of Eighth Street South and Eighth Avenue South will be closed to all traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, to Friday, August 23, for work on the water main at this location. 

We thank the public for their cooperation during this closure.

Veterans Drive Lane Closure for Road Work

Please be advised that the Northbound left turning lane on Veterans Drive approaching the intersection at Ninth Street North will be closed on the evening of August 20 and all day on August 21. The left lane closure is necessary to repair the asphalt. The right lane remains open, and drivers may use it to turn left. 

Motorists are advised to obey traffic signs and use caution through the work area.

Designated Areas of Norman Park Closed for Playground Construction

The City is pleased to announce that construction on the final feature of the Norman Park playground is almost complete. Work will continue through the weekend on August 17 and 18. 

The public is advised that the South driveway from the parking lot behind the Rotary Splash Park to the designated playground construction zone is closed for contractor use.

Survey Work at Intersection of Highway 17 and Minnesota Street, Parsons Street

Please be advised that survey work will be carried out at the intersection of Highway 17 and Minnesota Street and Parson Street on Wednesday, August 14. 

Traffic Control will be in place.

Mellick Avenue Closure for Guard Rail Work

Please be advised the Mellick Avenue between Rabbit Lake Road and Fourteenth Street North will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14.

The closure is necessary to allow for guard rail replacements at the north end of Mellick Avenue. 

Detour signs will be posted directing traffic to Fourteenth Street North and Veterans Drive.
