What's Open, Closed This Civic Holiday

On the Civic Holiday, Monday, August 4, the following City facilities are open:

• Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The Muse is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

All other City buildings and facilities are closed, including the Transfer Station and Recycle Depot, Kenora Public Library, City Hall, Operations Building, Moncrief Construction Sports Centre, and Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena. 

The Wave does not operate on the holiday.

Kenora Dog Park Large Dog Area Open Now

Please be advised that following the repair of the watermain break and partial installation of fencing at the Kenora Dog Park, the large dog portion only is open now.

The small dog portion remains closed as we wait for new fencing to be installed to secure that section.

Thank you for your patience as we work to prepare the Dog Park for all dogs to safely enjoy the off-leash space.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Rescind Notice

Please be advised that the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory issued on July 17, 2025, has been rescinded for all persons consuming water from the City of Kenora water distribution system from the following locations: 

• All residents North of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks
• 1506, 1507, 1510, 1511, 1512, 1518, 1537, 1629, 1633, 1702, 1705, 1706, 1708, 1712, 1713, 1714, 1716, 1719, and 1723 Railway Street
• 512 Nineteenth Avenue North
• Evergreen and Crawford Road Water Stations

Water Services Line Hazard in Golf Course Bay

Please be advised that a water services line has surfaced in Golf Course Bay near Anicinabe Park docks, causing a floating hazard.

Boat operators are advised to stay clear of the area where the water services line is floating as indicated in green on the map.

Please use caution when navigating Golf Course Bay and follow the boat speed limit or Vessel Operation Restriction Regulation (VORR) of 10 km/hr for Golf Course Bay.
