Keewatin Residents Reduce Water Usage Due to Water Main Break

Please be advised that there is a significant water main break at Norman Drive, and repair crews are currently on-site addressing the issue. 

We ask all Keewatin residents to minimize their water usage during this time. By reducing water consumption, you will assist our repair crews in their efforts to restore service as quickly as possible.

Norman Drive Road Closed Due to Significant Water Main Break

Please be advised that there is a significant water main break at Norman Drive, and repair crews are currently on-site addressing the issue. As a result, an emergency closure of Norman Drive and surrounding roads is in effect. Traffic control will be in place. 

We urge all Keewatin residents to reduce their water usage during this time. 

For those planning travel to and from the Norman and Keewatin areas, please use the Kenora Bypass to help facilitate the repair work and minimize travel disruptions. 

Traffic Reduced to One Lane on Lakeview Drive

Please be advised that traffic on Lakeview Drive, from the Winnipeg River West Bridge to the Winnipeg River East Bridge (Hospital Bridge), will be reduced to a single lane on Sunday, February 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Flaggers will be on-site to manage traffic flow. 

This temporary lane closure is necessary for geotechnical drilling in preparation for the City’s 2025 paving projects.

Traffic Reduced to One Lane on Ninth Street North

Please be advised that Ninth Street North between Twelfth Avenue North and Thirteenth Avenue North will be reduced to a single lane on Wednesday, February 12, and Thursday, February 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Flaggers will be on-site to manage traffic flow.

This temporary lane closure is necessary for geotechnical drilling in preparation for the City’s 2025 paving projects.

Snow Removal First Street South, Second Street South, and River Drive

Please be advised that snow removal operations will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as per the following schedule:

• Tuesday, February 11 – First Street South, from Eighth Avenue South to Tenth Avenue South
• Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – Second Street South, from Park Street to Eighth Avenue South
• Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – River Drive, from Eighth Avenue South to Highway 17 East
